Sponsored by SFMovieBears.com & Castrobear Presents

Be the first on your block to see a Hollywood major motion picture! Title: top secret until day of screening! This will be the first of two new movies scheduled for release later in 2008
.

In addition to our special Hollywood Sneak Preview, a second, 45 minute SHORT will be shown called BEAR RUN.  Although we cannot give you information on the first feature (a full length movie scheduled for release in 2008) we can tell you about the World Premier of BEAR RUN.

BEAR RUN tracks the contemporary rituals, language, values and evolving aesthetic of bear culture, by following three sets of characters as they romp through the 2006-2008 event circuit.  Through the compelling stories of Mikhael, John and Mike, and Louie, the documentary explores ageism, gender, body image, and the need for community and love.  www.bearrunthemovie.com

Sorry guys! Only Bear Tag holders admitted for this special event.

OFFICIAL OPENING NIGHT KICKOFF PARTY * New this year *
@ The Triple R
T

* New this year * "Bring a t-shirt" DJ Rotten Robbie starts the evening out at the Russian River Resort (The Triple R) Take in the sights and sounds of Lazy Bears’ home away from home. Swim, eat and drink and socialize at the birthplace of Lazy Bear Weekend.

Join us for the NEW T-shirt icebreaker. Bring a T-shirt from a home town bar, club or sports team in a paper bag. On the outside of the bag print with a dark marker:

1. Your First Name.
2. The size of the enclosed T-Shirt.
3. City you're from.

This icebreaker is new to Lazy Bear. The idea is to exchange shirts and meet people through a fun interactive activity. There won't be any announcements, nobody will be pointed out on the microphone. You would be surprised how many people look for an opportunity to "break the ice" and meet somebody....new shirts would be nice but if it's a used shirt, guys, make sure it's washed. <gg>

Snacks provided by Triple R Bar & Grill

Opening night party and presentation dedicated to the memory of 'uber' Lazy Bear friends Ken Emery and Sandro's Doug.

$2 Miller Bear and Soda/Water station open from 8PM-11PM

HUSH HUSH SWEET SMOKEY!
@ Private 15-acre estate
Many of you have heard about the wildfires that have ravaged much of the Northern part of our beautiful state.  In response, and understandably so, many counties, including Sonoma, have issued a ban on all outdoor fires.

But worry not, Lazy Bears!  The LBW creative team has been working overtime to bring you something new that is fun, playful and keeping in the spirit of late-night Lazy Bear Weekend.

This year, with help from good friend Steve Buczchek, producer of Beef Dip, Puerto Vallarta, and sponsored by 100% Beef,  we bring you this special late-night gathering under the stars.

Wear your Lazy Bear tags or pay 5.00 at the door of the Estate.  Yes...this is the same place as Sunday Furry Sunday but under the moonlit sky and 10 beautiful acres lit like you have never seen before.

By all means, bring your swimsuit and a towel for a late night dip in the heated pool.
Why 'Hush Hush' ?  We have to stay cool with the neighboors...no loud music or raucous bears, please!

What else to bring?  Bring a sweatshirt or something warm..(.it can get cool in the wee hours)...a blanket or sleeping bag to curl up on the lawn and watch the nightsky... flashlights too.  And a stuffed bear or other toy for the Guerneville Fire Department Toy Drive.
